Finding Personal Peace!
As I struggle to find the words to start this blog, my mind wants to go to a place of defining the word Manifestation because that’s what this Organization is about,… BUT, my heart wants to take me to a place of “Peace” ; maybe it’s because finding peace at a young age isn’t always easy;… there’s peer pressure, activities, trying to find your purpose, your passion and position and we can’t forget “Running the Rat Race” to “Live The American Dream!”... So in being true to myself form, my heart wins out and Peace, just like “Love” always WINS!
If you are just living life in general, it may seem that finding peace at any stage or age is non-existent, BUT, I’m here to tell you, it isn’t!… I’m not going to fool you by saying it’s easy to find, but the good news is that it isn’t non-existent. Yes, it may cost friendships, positions and pain; but you can find it; and you are the only one who can say whether it’s worth going through all the challenges to find it!
I have to admit finding my personal peace didn’t come from me having an “Ah ha” moment in life. It took many years of having an unprotected heart and going through hurt and pain before I finally said to myself, “I WILL begin to protect my heart!” I will set boundaries on who gets access to me. I will protect my space and energy; and I will do it even if others appear uncomfortable in their own feelings; because If I don’t protect myself then I will be the one feeling uncomfortable.
So how did I find my peace? By follow these few steps! I can't say I”ve arrived at a perfect place in life, but I can say, that I’m definitely Happier about “Being Authentically ME! And About the Journey of “Finding My Personal Peace in Life!”
So HOW, you may say, have I done it? By doing exactly what I just wrote:
Look, Listen and Learn who celebrates you in life and learn to stay in this type of circle.
Learn to meditate so that you know what finding peace feels like. You don’t have to be a yogi, or do this everyday, but most people really think they know what peace feels like because chaos has become so familiar to them. When you meditate you are allowing your body to know what calmness really feels like so you will recognize when you are stressed or not in a place of calmness or peace.
Practice Mindfulness! This isn’t another thing you have to keep track of. Once you begin to practice being mindful about life situations as simple as eating dinner mindfully, this practice will be second nature to you and you will begin to walk through life being effortlessly mindful about your whole life!
Recognize everyone is not for you and you are not for everyone! This one saved my life. I’d like to consider myself a kind person by nature; so being kind and expectecting everyone to just embrace that was a true life lesson to me! Everyone can’t handle The Love you have to give because everyone didn’t receive the love in life that you received!
Learn to leave spaces where the energy just does’t feel right to you. You will embarrass or hurt anyone more than you hurt or embarrass yourself if you stay in a space or place you don’t feel right about staying in.
Communicate with people! Learn to speak up about who you are and your opinons on things, because one thing I've learned in life is that people really can’t read minds; so if you don’t communicate you can’t expect them to know what you are thinking or feeling.
Always BE YOU! Be U Ti Ful! You Will Find People who will Love you Just Because You are You!
And there’s Nothing more peaceful than being around people who Love you for You!
